President’s Message

Greetings, Dear Quilters!

Here’s hoping you are staying healthy AND happy!  I know…under the circumstances…that’s a little hard to do!  But you have your quilting to fill your time and your hearts!  Quilting can take you to your happy place–JUST DO IT!  We thank God that we have this little place that we can escape to!!!  

As stated earlier…much much earlier…the February TBQ meeting has been cancelled.  Hopefully this will be the last time we will need to do this.  Instead of going to the regular TBQ meeting…go to your sewing room and create something that makes you smile!  Write it on your calendar NOW!  And let nothing interfere!  February is the month for hearts and love!  Let’s think positively, and believe that all we do is filled with love and things that make us happy!  And let’s plan on an abundant parade of quilting SHOW & TELL in March!!!  Woohoo!  We can do this!

I went to a Quilt Show planning meeting last week.  Look for news about TBQ’s upcoming quilt show in this edition of the newsletter!  Keep working on your Quilts-in-Progress!  And let’s have a fabulous show of TBQ member quilts!  It’s gonna be g.r.e.a.t.!

Howdy Pardners!!!

This is Cowgirl Dawnell and Cowgirl Julie coming to you from the great town of Prescott where the Wild West Quiltfest is sure to take place!!

As we know this last year has seen us struggle to enjoy each other’s company whether it be at a quilt meeting, class or a neighborly hello! Since we don’t know what to expect we have decided to do a little “two-step” outside of the box as we prepare for our Quilt Show.

Here is the Plan!

Our Wild West Quiltfest will be held at The Grand Highland Hotel at 154 S. Montezuma in the heart of Whiskey Row.  This will be a One-Day show held on Saturday, August 7^th.  (We will have Friday, August 6^th to prepare for our event.)

                        *Quilts will be displayed in the Ballroom

                        *Quilt Sale:  Rather than a Marketplace. We will be asking for Donations of Quilts to sell. (If your item doesn’t sell it will be returned to you.)

                        *Silent Auction Gift Baskets

                        *Vendors in the Outdoor Courtyard

                        *Admission will be $5.00

                        *There will be no café

                        *Community Quilt will be on display

We are aware it is monsoon season.  The hotel has several large tents for the courtyard that will be set up. 

We want people to stroll through a lovely setting, enjoy our beautiful quilts and indulge in our other offerings.  We understand there will be an Art event across at the courthouse as well.  We hope to capture some of those visitors as well!

We are in need of volunteers to support this event and hope many of you will be able to mosey up to the table and join a team.  Listed below are the Chair-people.  Please choose a team and contact that chairperson as soon possible!

Also, please continue to work on your Javelina display quilt! If you need a pattern, contact either of us!  And thank you to Carolyn Edwards for the winning Javelina names:  Harvey and Hannah!!

President’s Message

Happy New Year, dear quilter pals!  

Can you believe we are rolling into the year 2021?!  Holy cow!  🙂  Here we come, ready or not!  But oh my goodness aren’t we glad to get rid of this year!  Woohoo!  It’s certainly been a challenge!  But we are QUILTERS!  We shall survive!  Maybe our points haven’t matched perfectly this year…but it’ll quilt out!  🙂  I’m usually not one to wish my time away…but this year–it’s kind of like good riddance!  I am ready for the New Year…for new projects D.O.N.E.!  And new goals!  How about you?  

Hopefully you are remembering my President’s Challenge ~ dig out all those Orphan Blocks you have hanging around your sewing room and get them sewn together!  (They are due at the June 14th meeting.)  While on retreat recently with one of my mini-groups, one of the quilters in the group was whimpering about having finished all of the projects she brought (is that even possible?).  And since I was working on my Orphan Block quilt, I shared my box of orphan blocks!  Woohoo!  She was thrilled to have something different and fun to work on.  And guess what–she put a bunch of the pink blocks together and made a quilt!  And guess what…she gave it to me!  Woohoo!  I’m a happy camper!  I will show it to you at our next meeting!!  

Speaking of our NEXT meeting…at this point we are cancelling the January and February meetings due to the rampant spread of COVID in our area.  We want to keep everyone safe and healthy. 

Please keep the families of the two members we have lost recently, Rachel Severance and Lynda Ruiz, in your thoughts and prayers.

Howdy TBQ Quilters!!

It’s Julie & Dawnell, co-chairs for the Wild West Quiltfest!  Mark your calendar for June 4th & 5th, 2021 for a real hoedown of a quiltshow!  

Our Prescott Javelina with a quilt cape will also be our special show exhibit.  We have printed up a pattern for this little guy and would LOVE it if you would make your own version.  You can do this with your favorite method, collage quilt, embroidery, pieced, with little javelina babies, big, small, you name it!  We want your interpretation of our mascot to decorate the venue.   The full size pattern is just $1 and our show pin is being sold for $5.  You can pick them up at the meeting or again…just email Dawnell or Julie and we will arrange to get you a pin or pattern.  Since we love our mascot so much, we will have a limited number of t-shirts available with our logo as well.  Interested??  Just ask!  Can’t make it to the meeting..no problem!  Julie and Dawnell to the rescue!

We still need a few more volunteers to make this show a success and we are asking for your help.   These jobs can be done solo or with a friend!  Think about it…no experience necessary.  Every job has a detailed binder of what to do and we are here to help you!!

President’s message

Greetings, Dear Quilters!

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect to be in the midst of a pandemic that is soon going on being a year old.  Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect us to be mourning the death of a TBQ member due to COVID.  How can this be happening?  Oh my.  What a loss to all of us…AND to the quilting world!  We are heart-broken.  If you have a chance…go to Rachel Severence’s facebook page to read the wonderful tribute written by her husband.  Pray for Rachel’s family…and pray that this pandemic will be over by the time the new year is upon us…or SOON–whichever comes first!

Hopefully you saw the e-Blast that all TBQ Guild activities are cancelled for December.  And hopefully we will be able to meet again as a Guild on January 11, 2021.  We NEED it…and we NEED each other!  January’s meeting will be a silent auction where we find fun, new challenges to work on–or at least something different to work on!!!  🙂  OH!  Starting in January, TBQ’s meeting location will move permanently to the Elks Lodge, 6245 E. Second Street in Prescott Valley.  Enter through the North door. Until we figure out what our new life as we know it is, face masks will be required and no refreshments will be served.

Don’t forget your Show & Tell quilts…you should have bunches of new quilts for Show & Tell with all the time we’ve had to work in our quilt rooms, sewing-sewing-sewing!  

TBQ has a hand quilting frame that is looking for a new home.  It’s original purpose was to be used at Sharlot Hall by TBQ quilters.  We used to raffle off a “hand quilting” to a lucky TBQ winner!  And many happy hours were spent at that quilting frame–hand quilting on a member’s quilt!  But those days are over.  Sharlot Hall was cleaning out a storage room, and asked us to ‘take it home’.  Right now it’s in the back of my Jeep.  🙂  If you are interested in it, talk to me!  

So, dear Quilters, I’m wishing you many happy hours in your quilting room over the next few weeks, and may you find peace and joy and contentment in your quilting world.

Drive-thru event

In November we held an event for  members that have been unable to attend the normal monthly meetings. We had Community Service kits, Opportunity Quilt tickets, Workshop signups, Membership Directories, and Quilt Show pins, tickets and signup sheets for volunteers. Thank you for everyone who joined the executive committee on that chilly, chilly morning.

2020 has been a Wild west kind of year and who knows what 2021 will be like, but we are determined to have a safe and fun quilt show in June.  Maybe we will be back to normal and maybe it will have to be outside, but it will be happen  We know you have all been sewing up a storm, so start thinking about quilts you can enter in the show and let’s leave 2020 in the dust and move on to 2021 with a great show!

We need a few more volunteers to make this show a success and we are asking for your help.  The jobs that need filling are: Vendor Chair -this person will be getting those fun vendors to come to the show, Cafe Organizer – Someone to organize the grub, Entries – gather and collect all those wonderful quilt entries and a Check in/Check out person – Organize the entries when they arrive and leave the show.  These jobs can be done solo or with a friend!  Think about it…no experience necessary.  Every job has a detailed binder of what to do and we are here to help you!!

President’s Message

Happy Fall Y’All!

Are the leaves swirling around and around in your head and in your corner of the world?!  I’m guessing that the majority of us are from somewhere else…and it’s likely that your seasonal internal clock is raking leaves as well as running and jumping into a big pile of leaves!  Woohoo!  Let your inner child p.l.a.y.!!  It’s getting close to your last chance to p.l.a.y.!!  HA!  What am I saying!?  Everyone knows that Quilters can and do play…every day!  Isn’t it heavenly to go to your quilting room and sew the day away?!

Heads up!  Are you paying attention?!  TBQ’s November meeting will be held at the Residence Inn by Marriott (3599 Lee Circle, Prescott).  Meet Monday, November 9th at 9:30 a.m.  (Whew!  Where has this year gone?!) Kathleen Bond will be sharing her ideas and  tips and tricks about what to do with all those orphan blocks and quilt tops!  She has an amazing collection of quilts she has rescued…and she will share them with us!  Don’t miss it!

Face masks are required.  Refreshments will not be provided.  Don’t forget your quilts for Show & Tell!  Pray that COVID 19 will be out of our lives soon!

pRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Here there sweet friends…

Here we go again…  Are you ready for another month of happily quilting ever after?  Oh my.  We have to keep ourselves busily quilting, quilting, quilting.  During these very strange times of not knowing what tomorrow holds in store for us, we quilt.  And we quilt.  And we quilt.  I have heard of soooooo many of you quilting your brains out, and I am tickled pink!    Our future “Show & Tell’s” AND our next Quilt Show are going to be swamped with gorgeous quilts!!!  🙂  I heard on a podcast today that “quilting is medicine”…and nobody disagrees with that!!!  Quilting makes us happy!  And quilting keeps us busy.  And quilting is the answer to our prayers.

There are a couple of things that I’m hoping for…  I’m hoping you will take a minute to go to TBQ’s website and read about the History of TBQ.  Some of you were there…but most were not.  And it would be g.r.e.a.t. for you to know the history of TBQ and how we got started!  Also…I’m hoping you will take some time to look at Iowa Quilt Museum’s website.  They have recently offered virtual tours of their museum along with discussions by Barbara Brackman, Julie Silbur and Joe Cunningham.  I think you will enjoy it!

And to further explain my President’s Challenge to you…  Please make an Orphan Block Quilt!  You know all those blocks you have stockpiled…those blocks just laying around…left over from project after project…or those ‘practice blocks’ you made ‘just to see’ if that’s what you wanted to do.  (Also known as a “Kitchen Sink” quilt!)  Well…my Challenge to you is to sew all those blocks together!  Just for the fun of it!  Just see what you can make out of it!  It can be any size.  It doesn’t even have to be quilted, but plan to show and share them at the May 2021 TBQ meeting!  (If you need a few orphan blocks, let me know…I’m pretty sure I have a few to spare!)

And to update you on the status of open positions…the only one remaining available is “Mentor’s Table”.  Would you like to take charge of this task?  As Chair, you would demonstrate quilting techniques of your choice…or, you could ask Guild members to take turns demonstrating their favorite techniques…  Let me know if you’re interested.  🙂

president’s message

Greetings, Happy Quilters!!  I know you are Happy Quilters…because, generally we quilters are a happy bunch!  Even in these wild and crazy times…we are a happy bunch!  Our fabric stashes make us happy!  Our stacks of UFO boxes make us happy!  The piles of quilt tops make us happy!  The overloaded Quilt Racks make us happy!  Aaaahhh…  Life is good!  Isn’t it great to have our quilting passion to drown in when the rest of the world is stressing about life and times in pandemic mode?!  Yes, there are lots of things to fret about, but with our love of quilting, it doesn’t have to be 24/7!

The next TBQ gathering will be Monday, August 10, again at the Residence Inn by Marriott (3599 Lee Circle in Prescott).  It worked out great for our July meeting. The room was set up with chairs socially distanced, and everyone was comfortable.  The meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. Face masks are required.  Carpooling is encouraged.  Refreshments will not be provided.  Don’t forget your quilts for Show & Tell!!

During these trying times of pandemonia, we are forced to entertain ourselves.  Let’s consider it another chance to get to know each other better!  To quilting BEE friends!  We’re encouraging all attendees on August 10 to bring their “First Quilt” and their “Favorite Quilt”.  There can’t be too many quilts, can there?!  And, of course, ALL quilts come with a ‘story’.  Be prepared to tell us your quilt’s story!  Please enter with ‘quilt in hand’!  🙂

We also need a few more folks on our Team!  Please consider these positions, and let me know how you can help:

Newcomers ~ An entertainment committee for the new members to TBQ.  We probably need two to four working on this Committee.  And is it work if you’re gathering around the new members in a celebratory mode?

Mentor’s Table ~ Demo-ing…or arranging for demonstrations of quiltie techniques that we all want to know!

The new opportunity quilt was revealed at the July meeting. The quilt is named “Prescott Majestic Beauty”.  It was cut, sewn, and designed by Shirlee Smith, Carolyn Edwards, Sherri Hubbs, Cheryl Giovenco and Karen Adams. Quilting was done by Sheila Osbrink. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Guild meetings. Prices are $1.00 per ticket or 6 for $5.00.

We want to wish all of you a very Happy Birthday!

Adult Center Display

Are we still here?  Yes, we are…and hopefully ‘the world’ will be with us soon!  The Yellow and Blue quilts are still hanging out at the Adult Center…but nobody has been there to see them—except the skeleton staff.  So sad!  🙁  We’re not sure when the Adult Center will be open to the public again…perhaps September…  OMG!  #$%&!  What a waste!  But I know they are happy there!  It’s a happy place to be!  🙂  Our man Steve will let us know when the Adult Center is open again.

 

I have a volunteer who can help us hang the quilts!  Woohoo!  Thank you, Kathy Spry!

 

And we will get back to a normal ‘routine’ of displaying quilts…I truly believe that.  We NEED to…in order to stay sane!  If you have a theme that you’d like to see on display…just let me know!

incoming president’s message

Welcome to My Crazy Life!
Here we go again!  When I told my husband I had accepted the Nomination for TBQ President for the 2020-2021 year, he said…”you did that already”.  Well…Yes!  I did, but here we go again!  Please come along for the ride!  He plans to!  I hope you will, too!  There is not too much that is “normal” these days, but it is my hope that “this” will NOT go on forever! “Normally”, the July TBQ meeting is TBQ’s annual Birthday party.  Thanks to Dawnell…all that party-planning will roll over to the December party!

Our July 13th meeting will take place at the Residence Inn by Marriott (3599 Lee Circle in Prescott).  Meet at 9:30 a.m. Face masks are recommended. Carpooling is encouraged. Refreshments will not be provided. The Agenda will include the Election of Treasurer, Installation of Officers, officiated by past-president Kay Wentworth, Budget Approval, lead by Carol Wright and introduction of the Opportunity Quilt by Karen Adams.

If you made a “quarantine quilt”, bring it for Show & Tell!

Dear TBQ Friends,
Quilting is a sport, It involves batting, pumping iron, running, stitches, rowing, hooping, hunting for fabric. Yay! I’m an athlete!!! I hope all of you are getting your exercise in!

This is the end of an unforgettable year! I am so thankful for all of you. If it were not for my sewing sisters, I do not know what I would have done. The loss of my mom really took a toll on me. Thank you for giving me my space to help grieve and take care of all kinds of odds and ends for my dad- which I am still doing.

Carolyn Edwards, our incoming President, is such a fantastic person, quilter, and leader. I know it will turn out great!

Always believe that something wonderful is going to happen. Even with all the ups and downs, never take a day for granted. Smile, cherish the little things and remember to hug the ones you really love.

Thank you all for making this a nice year for me and the guild. I will cherish the friendships I have made forever. Please take a look the the Presidents Challenge Quilts under Show and Tell.

Membership

Thanks to everyone who sent in their electronic ballots for the slate of officers for the upcoming year.  The slate was unanimously approved by 74 ballots that were submitted by the deadline.   We now have a candidate for Treasurer which will require a vote at our July meeting. 

I have been diligently working on personal contact with each member to try and get the timely process of collecting dues for the 2020-2021 fiscal year. 

A big thank you to everyone who mailed me your dues check, and a big reminder to any member who has not paid their dues to please mail your dues($30) direct to me as soon as possible. If you have spoken to or received a message from me in the past couple of weeks, please follow through and send your dues to me at the address from the current directory.

July is rapidly approaching and the directory will be going to print soon, and you must have paid your dues in order to be included in the directory. 

If you have extenuating circumstances and are unable to get out to mail me your dues check, please contact me as soon as possible and I will do my best to make whatever arrangements I can to have your dues picked up by myself or another Guild Member.

Adult Center Display

Hey there quilter pals!  Here’s hoping everyone is surviving this unprecedented “quarantine”!!  Who would ever have thought we would be where we are in this mess as it stands today.   #$%&…Ack!  Oh well…onward and upward!  Did you get a quarantine quilt made?  That could very well be a future “theme” for quilts we hang at the Adult Center!  Let me know if you have a quilt in that category! 

We hung the blue and yellow quilts at the Adult Center on June 2nd.  It wasn’t even open!  But the on-site staff were thrilled to have our quilts blanketing their lovely new gray walls and soaking up some of the echoes in that big empty atrium!  Quilts were loaned by Carol Brownlow, Jane Holland, Barbara Merkel, Kathleen Semerau, and Candace Tomlinson…plus there are a couple of mine in there, too.  Hopefully, the Adult Center will open soon so you can stop by.  The quilts will make you happy…and we need all the “happy” we can get these days! 

These quilts will be up for a couple of months, and then we’ll be looking for red, white, and blue quilts to hang over the Labor Day holiday.  And sometime in the not too distant future, we’d like to feature the quilts of one of TBQ’s mini-groups.  How about yours?

TBQ member Jane Holland has helped with the Adult Center Quilt Displays since Day One–that was January 16, 2007!!  Yup!  We’ve been hanging quilts at the Adult Center for that long!  But now she’s wanting to step back from that responsibility.  Thank you, Jane! Is there someone out there who can take her place?  It’s a fairly easy job–about 5 or 6 times a year, the Hanging Team meets at the Adult Center to change out the quilts–exchange the hanging quilts for a new set!  What about you?  It would fulfill your High-Five Membership Commitment (see page 2 of the TBQ Directory)!  Talk to me if you would consider doing this for your Guild.

 PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Dear TBQ Friends,

God grant the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. The fabric stash- to make a quilt to help me cope. A quilt to give – to comfort those I love in times of hurt, fear, and uncertainty. And the courage – to keep on sewing when life itself seems held together by a single thread of hope.

There will not be a meeting in June.  When the church is comfortable with large outside groups we will meet again.  

I hope this note finds you healthy, happy, and sewing a lot. I can’t wait to get back together again to catch up on everyone’s activities during this wonderful time. I hope your stash of fabric is holding up and you have all of your UFOs finished, to-do lists done, spring cleaning done, and everything you have put off completed. I know this has been a tough time for all of us but it will get  better.

I am so very happy with all of the work  Dawnell and the quilting community  did making and distributing the masks.   This has been a great show of support  for the people of Yavapai County.  

I’m not self-medicating with fabric. The lady at the fabric store wrote me a prescription. Well, she called it a receipt. Whatever.

Please keep safe, happy, and healthy. Keep sewing until we meet again soon.

When the Adult Center reopens, we will exhibit BLUE and YELLOW quilts.  And we’ll let you know when that is!  Maybe between now and then, I can round up that last blue and yellow quilt that I need.  If you have one in the “SMALL” category, please let me know…SMALL is 45″ to 60″ wide.
And after that, I think it would be fun to “spotlight” a mini-group’s quilts.  Can it be your mini-group?  Please, please, please let me know!  We would need SIX large quilts and FOUR small quilts.  Here are the measurements:

Handmade Hugs

The Community Service co-chairs, Dawnell and myself, would like to thank all of our Thumb Butte Quilters who have contributed to our Handmade Hugs projects this year.  So far, we have donated over 55 quilts to Hospice of the Pines, and over 300 burp cloths and over 65 receiving blankets to Yavapai Regional Medical Center.   Since TBQ is not meeting in June, we are not planning on another Handmade Hugs meeting during this guild year.

Thanks to you, this year we have had a successful year and made hospice patients more comfortable and many new babies snuggled in soft flannel.

president’s message

Dear TBQ Friends,
Life is like a quilt… Years bound together, Established with family and friends, Backed with tradition, Stitched with love, With cornerstones placed carefully, to create a one of-a-kind journey through time.
Your TBQ Board is working through this stressful time to get things figured out.  Carolyn Edwards (President-Elect) and I are working closely together.  We have found out from the Church Pastor that we cannot meet in May.  He said if the Governor opened up some of the restrictions that he does not want outside groups coming into their church for a month, which is very understandable.  So, I cannot really give you a time as to when we will be together again.  We have some things we are supposed to get done before we move into a new guild year but due to our current quarantine, they may not get done on time. 
We are very thankful for all of the masks that you (and many other quilters in our area) have made and the efforts of Dawnell Muecke in getting this done for the community.  It has really been a huge undertaking and it is wonderful she stepped up to the plate to accomplish this.
I have stitched, formed friendships, laughed, shared secrets, eased burdens, and learned lessons.  For this I can be grateful.  This is the journey of a quilter.

We hope and pray this message finds you all safe, happy, and healthy.  Keep sewing until we meet again.

There is some guild business that needs our attention. As most of you know, this is the time of year that we begin collecting dues for the upcoming fiscal year that begins on July 1st, 2020.

Are you surviving the QUARANTINE?  It’s certainly been a challenge, hasn’t it?  With any luck at all, you’ve found and are following “Pluto”.  She’s a Schnauzer who has been talking us “two-leggeds” through this pandemic.  Find her at Pluto Living.  🙂
We took down all of Jane’s eleven quilts that have been hanging out at the Adult Center since January 8th…because they are taking advantage of the quarantine to p.a.i.n.t.!  Woohooo!  And we’re not getting back in until the quarantine is lifted.  🙁

President’s message

Dear TBQ Friends,
I can’t clean my craft room, because I get distracted by all the good stuff I found AGAIN!
I hope you all had a very special and wonderful Valentine’s Day!
I want to thank Karen Adams for having brought to our guild such a fantastic artist/quilter!  Andrea Brokenshire had a warm and funny presentation along with her VERY inspiring quilts!  It was really awesome!
It was fun seeing people who I have not seen in a while. I am glad you came to the meeting. Hopefully you will come more often.
The nominating committee met at my house and I know a lot of you received phone calls.  Thank you for answering the phone (LOL) as well as letting us know what kind of jobs you would like to do or not do.  Everyone was absolutely great!  We will know more by our next meeting.
I have received several phone calls letting me know how some of our members are doing and most of them have greatly improved.  My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I hope you are all sewing like crazy! As you can tell by my quilting quotes, I have been very inspired and pulled out several of my 30-year-old PhD’s (projects half done) and have been actually completing them! It’s amazing how nice it made me feel! LOL!!!
I feel like I should clean the house so I’m going to my craft room to play until the feeling passes.

Please don’t forget to bring your UFO’s for the silent auction we will hold in June, 2020. Give all items for the auction to Katheen Semerau. You can also put a kit together with a pattern and compatible fabrics.

Adult Center Display

The Quilts they are a’ changin!  As soon as we round up TEN blue and yellow quilts, the delightful Jane Holland One-Woman-Quilt-Show will come down.  You still have a little time to swing by the Adult Center (1280 Rosser Street) to see Jane’s unique and one-of-a-kind creations!  Woohoo!  You know…you can go to the Adult Center to look at TBQ’s fabulous mini-Quilt Show (on display year-round), and then you can have a very delicious, reasonably priced lunch without even leaving the facility!  What an outing!  

If you have a blue and yellow quilt to include in our next exhibit, please, please, please let me know!
If you are in a mini-group, we encourage you and your mini-group to display your quilts together!  Wouldn’t that be F.U.N.!  🙂  Let me know and we’ll get you on the schedule!

Handmade Hugs

Hi Everyone!  Last month we met and assembled over 20 quilt tops with backing, batting and binding.  These quilts are now ready to be quilted by our members on a longarm or a domestic machine.  Kathleen Bond gave a wonderful demonstration of how to prepare a quilt and ideas on how to quilt on your regular sewing machine.  A big shout out to Kathleen!
These quilt kits are always at our meeting along with flannel kits for our burp rags and receiving blankets which we donate to the Yavapai Hospital for the Healthy Families program and other moms in need.  We donated 8 quilts to hospice, 68 burp rags and 24 receiving blankets to hospice in February.
Everyone is encouraged to take a kit or two home to complete so we can get the quilts to the hospice centers and baby stuff to the hospital.  Everything we donate is always appreciated by those who receive them.
