Show and Tell

Designing Women participated in a whisper challenge in 2020.  Betty Foley was the first person in the sequence.  She chose Kandinsky’s image called “Sign-The Charnel House” as her inspiration and made a 16″ x 20″ quilt.  The next person in line, Kay Wentworth, studied Betty’s quilt for 10 minutes and then made a quilt inspired by Betty’s.  So on down the line, each person studied the previous quilter’s quilt for 10 minutes, but did not see the original inspiration.  It was fun to see how much the image changed by the time the last quilt was made!  The photos below are in order from the first to last.

Our dear friend and Designing Women member Jeanne Sellers passed away last year, and her husband Doug generously shared her quilting supplies with our group.  Each of us was able to choose fabrics from Jeanne’s stash, and we’d like to share these quilt projects in memory of Jeanne Sellers.   All of these items were made using her fabrics.
