GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Welcome to all members and guests and to today’s speakers Joy Swartz and Shirley Smith
A motion to approve the October General meeting minutes was made by Barb Stein and seconded by Debby Casali. The vote to approve was unanimous – motion carries.
Quilt Camp: Scheduled for March 23 – 26, 2026; Cathy Day
Retreat Lite: Tentative dates May 25 & 26, 2026; Oct. 26-27, 2026; Dana Swain
Retreat Lite in October contributed back to the guild $144.76.
The TBQG 2027 Opportunity Quilt Committee will meet briefly today after the meeting.
Volunteers are still needed for the committee.
Veterans Day is November 11th. Jamie asked for all veterans and spouses to stand and be recognized for their service to our country. Jamie referred to an article in the Sunday’s Courier about the new home for homeless Vets. They are in need of household items, blankets, bedding, cookware, etc. Sponsored by the US Vets of Prescott.
Red Rock Quilters will be holding their Quilt Show (January 5 through February 28) and would like guild members to show their quilts. Applications are available today and also online.
Kristine White reminded members of our Christmas Party in December. Members are to bring a $10 wrapped gift for the Gift Exchange. Dress up in your holiday fare. Hot soup and bread will be served. The committee will meet briefly after meeting.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Alicia Czuzak welcomed four new members and three visiting guests.
COMMUNITY SERVICE REPORT: Sheryl Goddard reported that during the month of October 31 burp cloths and 12 receiving blankets were donated to YRMC and 12 quilts to the Rehabilitation Center. At the November meeting, Prescott High School Honor Society joined Handmade Hugs and completed 39 no-sew blankets for Hope House. We hope to make this an
annual event. The next Handmade Hugs meeting will be on December 6 at the Center beginning at 9:00 and usually wrap up around noon. Good news, we have
received generous donations so we no longer need small quantity cotton fabric. Bad news, we still need yardage for backing and flannel for baby items.
NEWCOMERS REPORT: Mary Ellen Coe reported that Newcomers hosted a “no sew” Christmas ornament project taught by Carol Grimes on Friday, November 7th at Cloth Plus. There were 16 members in attendance. In February Newcomers will team up with HandmadeH ugs, and in March there will be a Shop Hop event.
COMPANY STORE: Jamie thanked everyone for their monthly purchases at the store. Pat Noel reported the team loaded three cars full with bins on Sunday, and unloaded before the meeting today. Pat will send out an email blast two
days before the meeting to ask for volunteers. Pam Jones announced that the $5.00 Bag Sale will in January.
STORAGE: Jamie reported that it is time to change the lock on the storage unit. A two-foot stool is missing that was last used at the quilt show. If you have it, please return to the Guild.

WAYS & MEANS: Gerry Carr announced there are misters with a “Sewciopath” labels on sale for $10. The committee is collecting for the TBQ Silent Auction. Bring your donations to the January meeting (not December). The Silent Auction will be held in February. Jamie thanked the committee noting that they have been coming up with great ideas and welcome all members
to share ideas as well.
PROGRAMS: Joy Swartz will be making a presentation on Antique and Patriotic Quilts from the 1800s.
WORKSHOPS: Kathleen announced the following workshops:
Shirley Smith will teach a Scrap Buster Chandelier Quilt workshop on Tuesday at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Cost is $35.00. As a bonus demo, she will show quilting as you go and how to put it all together.
In December, the 15 ladies who signed up for the P.I.G. challenge (project in a grocery bag), will present their accomplishments We will hold the new P.I.G. in February.
In January, Jeff Warner will be presenting and teaching a “Bargello Star” workshop on Tuesday, January 13th. Sign-ups are now being taken. Jeff sent a sample of the Bargello Star Table Topper that students will be able to finish during the workshop.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Elizabeth Phinder, announced a Mountain Top—Color Mastery Class by Swan Sheridan on Monday afternoon, Nov. 17, and a Free Motion Quilt class on Tuesday, the 18th, from 9:30 to 3:30 at the Elks Lodge. See Elizabeth to sign up.

BLOCK OF THE MONTH: Angela raffled off eight Maple Leaf blocks, and the lucky winner was Kathleen Semerau. Angela showed next month’s block, directions will be posted on the website.
BIRTHDAY DRAWING: Arleen pulled raffle tickets and announced the luck winning numbers for 11 birthday gifts this month.
