General Meeting Minutes – July 14, 2025

CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 9:30am by Vice President, Deb Johnson.
MINUTES: A motion was made by Sharon Harris to approve the June meeting minutes. The motion was seconded by Cathy Day, and the minutes were approved.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT: Dawnell Muecke welcomed and introduced four (4) new members.
OPEN POSITIONS: Jeanne Corrigan has agreed to share the Secretary position with Dana Swain. Stephanie Fullerton volunteered to take minutes at the July meeting in Dana’s absence.
COMMUNITY SERVICE: No report.
NEWCOMERS: No report. Deb Johnson let the new members in attendance know
about the Newcomer’s group. It’s a great way to meet other members. The next
gathering will be in September. Watch for announcements of upcoming gatherings on the website. All are welcome.
PROGRAMS AND WORKSHOPS: Kathleen Bond reported on the following upcoming workshops.
 August will be a trunk Show presented by Shirlee Smith
 September is Jennifer Wagner from Snapdragon Quilting. Jennifer will hold two (2) classes on quilts in color and applique.
o The 1st class will be held on Monday, September 8, after the meeting at
the Elks, (2 hours) and lunch will be provided (pizza/salad). Cost is $20.
o The 2 nd class will be held on Tuesday and will be Reverse Applique Mini
Moons (22” x 22”). This class will be all day at Trinity Presbyterian
Church, cost is $35. Details regarding these workshops will be posted on the TBQ website.
TREASURER’S REPORT: The Quilt show made $22K in profits. A copy of the budgetw as made available at the meeting to all members.
SECRETARY’S REPORT: Dana Swain is on travel and could not attend. Jeanne
Corrigan volunteered to co-chair the Secretary’s position with Dana going forward and will be installed at the August meeting. Stephanie Fullerton assisted Jeanne with taking notes at the July meeting.
WAYS AND MEANS: Definition: The methods and resources needed for meeting an organization’s goals. This important chairperson(s) position is open and needs to be filled. Volunteers for the upcoming year will be Gerry Carr, Lydia Figueroa, and Carol Grimes.
