Hello, Fabulous Quilters!
Wow! What a fantastic February meeting! A huge thank you to all who attended—it was a full house, and Jean Impey did not disappoint! Her boundless energy, creative spirit, and that signature humor of hers made for an unforgettable Trunk Show. I don’t know about you, but I left feeling inspired and ready to dive into new projects! For those lucky enough to take her Fabulous Faces and Spider Web classes, I hear they were an absolute blast—and yes, I was in the Spider Web class, so if you need me, I’ll be finishing my masterpiece.
Now, let’s talk about what’s coming up—because TBQG is keeping the creativity rolling!
Mark your calendars for our March 10th meeting, where we welcome the talented Dora Cary from Orange Dot Quilts! She’s bringing us a fresh wave of inspiration and will be teaching her Fusible Appliqué class on Tuesday, March 11. If appliqué has ever intimidated you, Dora is just the person to make it fun and approachable. All the details—fee, supply list, and registration—are on the website, so check it out!
Retreat Lite is here! If you missed the first session on February 24 & 25, don’t worry—two more are scheduled for 2025! These smaller, more intimate retreats are the perfect way to recharge, stitch, and connect with fellow quilters. Contact Dana Swain or visit the website for details. But wait—there’s more!
Quilt Camp is back and better than ever! Join us for four days of quilting fun from March 24-27. Expect great food, exciting prizes, and the chance to tackle those PIGs (Projects in Grocery Sacks), get your Quilt Show entries finished, or—let’s be honest—start something totally new! Because why not?! For more details, reach out to Cathy Day.And let’s not forget the Presidential Challenge—those Baby Quilts aren’t going to make themselves! Let’s get them stitched up and ready to share some warmth and love.
There’s so much happening, and I’d love to tell you all about it, but you already know where to find the details—the website! So hop on over and stay up to date.
Keep those needles moving and those sewing machines humming!
Happy Stitching!
