Hello, fabulous quilters!
What an amazing Quilt Show Kickoff we had! Let’s give a HUGE round of applause to our VP
Deb Johnson and her all-star team of Coaches. Every station was staffed to perfection with an
unbeatable mix of defensive and offensive strategies. Touchdown for teamwork! The energy in the room was electric, and it’s clear—we are all fired up for this year’s quilt show. Let’s keep that momentum going!
And how about the PIGs (Projects in Grocery Sacks) activity? Wasn’t that a blast? If you ended up in a tie, well, buckle up, buttercup—it looks like we’ll be tackling both projects! My PIG pile just got taller, but hey, what’s a little extra quilting work among friends?
For those of you lucky enough to attend Jamie’s AccuQuilt Demonstration, wasn’t it a game-changer? Educational, inspiring, and oh-so-enlightening—now we’re all dreaming of owning one of those magical machines! Huge thanks to Jamie and Angela for your hard work and expertise. You nailed it!
And speaking of excitement, mark your calendars for February—we’re thrilled to welcome Jean Impey! Her Faces class is already sold out (no surprise there!), but don’t worry—there are still a few seats left for her Spider Web class. Don’t wait—call Kathleen Bond to snag your spot before it’s too late.
Thank you all for your incredible flexibility and resiliency. Together, we’re unstoppable! Now, let’s roll up our sleeves and tackle those PIGs, and don’t forget about the President’s Challenge—a nursery-inspired baby quilt. I can’t wait to see your creativity shine!
See you all bright and early on February 10, 2025, at 9:30 AM. Be sure to arrive at the Elks early to grab a great seat—we’ve got another fantastic meeting ahead!
Yours in stitches and smiles,
Coco Alaniz, President
